Vocalization
This technique is basically the use of recordings of supposed Bigfoot sounds played loudly throughout the forest. It is used to attract a Bigfoot to come near, or make a sound back. It works much the same way as calling a deer, turkey, and other animals. Listen to some supposed Bigfoot recordings here.
Wood Knocking
People often witness the sound of wood knocking in forests and claim them to be related to Bigfoot. The goal in this technique is to hit a tree with a piece of wood or stick in attempt to get a Bigfoot to answer back with wood knocking or a sound.
Problems with sound calling
Vocalization and wood knocking aren't proven to actually attract Bigfoot. With recordings it's hard to say that it actually came from a Bigfoot, and if it did would it come near or get scared off. Wood knocking is the same way. |
